Household Cavalry grants special wish to Ben!

17 year old Ben from Barnsley in South Yorkshire is a wheel chair user with severe Epilepsy and it was his dearest wish to meet the Queen’s horses.

With the help of Make-A-Wish he visited the Household Cavalry barracks in Hyde Park, where he was able to meet the regimential farrier and inspect the royal horses.

Ben then followed The Blues and Royals up The Mall to Horse Guard’s Parade in time to watch them take over the guard from The Life Guards.

Ben’s mother Elizabeth said: “We will never forget today. Ben has always loved the Household Cavalry, horses are his favourite animal and all the soldiers have made him feel very special. Thank you.”

Hundreds of children will turn to Make-A-Wish this year to have their special wish granted.
