Lee meets Captain Blade!

13 year old Sheffield United FC fan Lee is fighting a cancerous tumour and as a result has to spend a great deal of time in his bedroom.

He wanted his bedroom redecorated to show his passion for his favourite club, so Make-A-Wish arranged for him to have a VIP tour of the Bramall Lane ground, where he was able to pick out the items he liked for his new room from the club’s superstore.

Finally came the icing on the cake - Captain Blade himself, the official team mascot, came along to unveil Lee’s brand new bedroom and to present him with a shirt signed by the entire team. It’s now his favourite possession!

Hundreds of children will turn to Make-A-Wish this year to have their special wish granted.
